Keyword Search

To run a Keyword Search, type one or more words, then click Search. Example search terms include dinnerware, desk, chair, lamp, clothing, dress, doll, embroidery, linens, music, painting, poster, tapestry, Stickley, Augustine. To be sure you get all records related to your search, make use of the asterisk* wildcard symbol. For example, type Book* instead of Book. This will return results for book, books, booklet, etc. Instead of Garden, type Garden* to find all items related to gardens and gardening. You can even type, Book* AND Garden* to narrow your search to a list of books about gardens and gardening.

To search for photographs of particular people or places or things, type Photographic AND (name of people or places or objects you are looking for). For example, you can type combinations of words such as: Photographic AND Augustine; Photographic AND Augustine OR Marjorie OR Bessie; Photographic AND Augustine AND Marjorie AND Bessie; Photographic AND Boating; Photographic AND Chanticleer; Photographic AND Summer, and so on.
