Program for a performance of Haydn's "The Creation" oratorio on Easter Sunday, 1911. The concert was produced by the Handel and Haydn Society in aid of its building fund. The cover has a black ink framed print / etching of a woman holding open a large book. Young angel with wings and harp sits below, torchiere with flames, leaves, ribbon. Title page lists names of featured Soprano, Tenor and Bass soloists. Inside pages give the libretto in three parts.The back cover has a seating chart for Boston Symphony Hall and includes a listing of upcoming concerts, including Messiah and Belshazzar. |
