Description of Contents |
This book is written chiefly for the amateur gardener but also includes information for the professional, according to its author. There is a clearly scientific, even didactic approach to the subject matter. Plant identification, culture, forms, maintenance, planting plans, and plant characteristics are addressed. The author, an academic who is also a Fellow of ASLA, depicts this as a compact horticultural and estate design reference manual. Additionally, it suggests a systematic approach to recording planting arrangements from one season to another. |
