This hard cover book measures 8" x 7 1/2" by 1/1/2." Its cover is a faded, well-worn dark blue rough linen or buckram.There are 305 pages of text, half-tone photos, some coloured drawings, and garden plans printed on heavy, glazed paper. No endpapers. On the front cover and spine are title and author printed in bold gold lettering, with the addition of the publisher's name on the lower spine. Impressed on the front cover is a section of an arcade heavily decorated with potted plants, also stamped in gold. Inside the book is a printed invitation to a fashion show in Watch Hill.
