Program for a musical performance of Mendelssohn's ELIJAH oratorio. The concert was produced by the Handel and Haydn Society in aid of its building fund. The cover has a black ink framed print /etching of a woman holding a harp and a wreath of leaves. Young angel with wings sits below, holding a ribbon and cornucopia of fruit. Title page gives names of soprano, contralto, tenor and bass soloists; inside pages give the text of the oratorio. The back cover has a seating chart for Symphony Hall, and includes a listing of upcoming concerts, among them Messiah and Belshazzar. |
