Program for Samson and Delilah by Charles Camille Saint- Saens; English version by Nathan Haskell Dole. The performance was produced by the Handel and Haydn Society in their ninety-ninth season; it is their seven hundred and eighty-sixth concert. The cover has a black ink print of putti seated on a swag with ribbon and bows. Listed on the cover are the main characters; the conductor, Mr. Emil Mollenhauer; the organist, Mr. H. G. Tucker; and the Boston Festival Orchestra, Mr. J.W. Crowley, Principal. The inside cover features a notice of the Handel and Haydn Society's Easter Sunday, April 12, 1914 performance of REDEMPTION. Also listed on this page is a site fund statement, an appeal for donations, and the plan of the concert hall. Interior pages feature words to the libretto. The back cover has an advertisement for Chickering pianos. "Chickering pianos used exclusively by the Handel and Haydn Society." |
