Program for a musical performance of Peace With A Sword by Mabel W. Daniels and Hora Novissima by Horatio William Parker. The program was for the benefit of the Young Men's Christian Association. The cover features a black ink print with the title and date of the performance within a scroll surrounded by flowered branches. An angel's head within a sunburst appears at the top. The title page lists featured performers: Emil Mollenhauer, Conductor; H.G. Tucker, Organist; Mme. Hudson-Alexander, Soprano; Merle Alcock, Alto; Lambert Murphy, Tenor; and Frederick Martin, Bass. The lyrics to Peace With a Sword appear on page 3. Part One and Part Two of Hora Novissima are printed in Latin and English on pages 4-9. A plan of the hall is also printed on page 9. An upcoming Easter performance of Redemption is advertised on page 10. Among the patronesses listed on page 11 is Mrs. William L. McKee (Bessie Pardee Van Wickle McKee). The back cover has a full-page advertisement for Chickering Pianos. |
