Box 1976.1.P063 Hale Brook Park 1916-1927, Hawaii 1925 Folder 11 (1976.1.P063.11) Hawaii 1925 This folder contains photographs of scenery / landscapes from a trip to Hawaii in 1925.The photos were taken by Marjorie, and Israel, Alice, and Helen Pardee. Crease in upper right of photograph. 07A view of a cove from a hill. Tall palm branches are shown in right foreground of the photograph. Small buildings are evident on the beach. There are electricity poles running up the hillside. The hill seems to have an elevated train track at the top. Black and white. 9.50"W x 7.50"H. Good condition. 14Long rowboat being propelled by a crew of eleven people. People are silhouetted, as it is almost dark in the photograph. They appear to be in a cove. The peninsula in the background has tall trees, a low building, electrical or telephone wires. There are puffy clouds in the sky. The photograph was taken at night, so it is dark. The man is scooping up from the water, a fishing net that he is holding in his left hand.6"W 9"H. Black and white. Good condition, mirroring along edges. 16Photo taken at night. Several people and a small boat are in the water. Tall trees in the right foreground. Moon is full and shining through a cloudy sky. Black and white. 7.75"W x 9.75"H. Good condition. 17A collection of 42 small photographs. Most are of scenery of Hawaii. Subjects include horse, cattle, people, buildings, water, boats, automobiles, railroad tracks, trees, and mountains. |
