This is a Straffordshire transfer printed pottery blue and white deep dish, or soup, plate with a scene of a village on a river. There is a wooden bridge over the river with men paddling flat boats in front of a thatched roof house. In the background are large institutional buildings. Flowers and a white rick-rack border decorates the rim. |
