Description |
Augustine's debutante dress. Long dress of creamy blush silk tulle with pink silk underskirt, blue moiré ribbon at waist. Bodice has an Empire waist, tulle over lace with third layer of tulle over each shoulder and one inch rose on each shoulder; at waist: ¾ inch blue moiré ribbon over eight inch wide blush silk ribbon folded and hemmed, two inch rose at center; short puffed sleeves with matching blue ribbon at cuff. Skirt: blush silk gathered at waist with three layers: Chiffon with ribbon rose wreaths and bows and 5 inch ruffle at hem, then Tulle, then Tulle with flat tulle ruffle every two inches around hem and on sides (24"); blue ribbon bow at back waist. Five-snap-and-hook closure on bodice, three-hook closure at waist-belt, eight-snap closure at skirt, six-snap closure chiffon overskirt. |
