Description |
Ship model of a sailboat with two sails, one large mainsail and one small topsail. The main hull is white and the keel is dark green. The model sits on a wooden base with four posts to support the ship model. The model sailing boat was made for Augustine Van Wickle by her friend, Ned Conway, around 1912. It remained in Augustine's room at Blithewold until Augustine's sister, Marjorie Lyon, died in 1976. At that time, Augustine's daughter, Marjorie Shaw Jeffries, inherited it. It was recently returned to its familiar place in Augustine's room at Blithewold - a generous gift from Mrs. Jeffries. |
