Description |
This is a large trunk of canvas covered wood painted gray made by Alexander Rommetin of Paris. The straps are black metal affixed with metal rivets and there are black metal side handles. The top has a slight upward curve. The inside of the trunk is covered with cream and red striped paper. There are three trays made of light weight wood strapping with a fabric bottom and paper covered sides. Each tray has fabric straps for lifting and for holding clothes. Some of the straps have metal fasteners. The bottom tray, which is 5.5" high, is affixed to the bottom of the trunk. There are two removable trays with the top tray slightly curved at the sides to match the curve of the trunk top. Stencilled on both ends of the trunk is "PARDEE". Also on both ends is the A. Rommetin stamp. |
