Description |
This burgundy velvet dress was worn by a bridesmaid at the 1951 wedding of Marjorie Pemberton Shaw, Augustine Van Wickle Shaw Toland's daughter, to David Jeffries. The bodice features a 1 1/4" mandarin collar and 1/2" velvet covered buttons; eleven buttons are decorative and the top eight buttons have a fabric loop to close. A small pocket is sewn into the right side of the gathered skirt. The left side has a 13 1/2" metal zipper topped with a metal hook and eye.
