Description |
Floor length, one-piece dress, made by Fox, with cream lace inserts and butterfly applique. Dark green velvet with metallic threading, ivory cotton machine-made lace panels, ivory silk organza fabric, plain and embroidered net. Lining fabrics: two different (but similar) ivory plain weave silk fabrics line skirt and bodice. Trims: two beaded and jeweled butterfly-shaped appliqués. Dress has pointed train detail and center back opening. Velvet skirt has center front panel with tiers of embroidered net stitched to a net ground; over this is layered a pointed panel of machine-made lace. Foundation bodice is lightly boned, with short set-in silk organza sleeves and drawstring casing at neckline. Over this, a panel of machine-made lace is draped to form bodice and cap sleeves, terminating in pointed lace panels extending over the skirt at the back. Embellishments include two beaded butterfly-shaped appliqués are stitched to center front and center back bodice at the high waistline. V-shaped center front bodice neckline inset is faced with gathered silk net; smaller organza-faced inset is at center back. Narrow folded bands of silk net are stitched to the inside of bodice neckline and shoulder edges. Bodice has interior waistband with ‘FOX Paris New York’ name. |
