Description |
This is the Wikeman Weed Eradicator made entirely of metal. It has a removeable top for filling and a removeable point to cover the sharp business point. The following description is from the June 1999 Golf Course Management magazine, the Historical Perspectives section. "Tools of the Trade, circa 1900.....Weed Eradicator....An instrument like a syringe in shape and furnished with a steel point. The cylinder is charged with a liquid weed-killer, and on forcing the steel point into the crown of a dandelion or other weed, the pressure liberates a sufficient quantity of poison to kill the weed. The instrument is known as the 'Wykeman [sic] Weed Eradicator'". |
