This World War I patch is part of a collection of 56 military patches. The patch is the insignia of the "Thirty-eighth (Cyclone) Division Indiana and Kentucky Troops." The shield-shaped wool patch is half navy and half red. A cream capital C is embroidered onto the center with a capital Y overlapping it. See 1976.1.0440.1 for all military patches and 1976.1.0440.56 for "THE SUNDAY HERALD, THE SYMBOLS OF OUR FIGHTING ARMIES, May 4, 1919." |
