Description |
One of a pair of Dutch Delft blue and white Faience chargers. Each is painted in the center with a pair of crossed plumes and inscribed. The border is of scalloped flowerheads on a stippled ground. This plate is inscribed: No. 5 Komt Eet Van Mijn Broodt Spreak:9. In the Blithewold Wooden album, these are described as:"Two plaques Delft. Centre decoration of crossed quills with quotations from the Scriptures relative to the bread of Life." These plates can be identified in the dining room photographs of 1915. |
