Description |
Cream linen decorative towel. "Huck toweling" fabric with a 3-inch crochet border at one end. The initials "BPMcK" (Bessie Pardee Van Wickle McKee) are embroidered at one end. Huck Toweling refers to the fabric weave, popular in the early 1900s. It has double threaded vertical loops in brick-like rows across the fabric. Thought to increase absorbency. Most often referred to as Monk's Cloth today. |
